Untracked Denials Become Lost Revenue

For all businesses and practices that bill insurance, denials are unavoidable. But when recoverable denials go unidentified, unworked, or forgotten, earned revenue can be permanently lost.

This makes tracking each insurance denial essential for all medical-billing-dependent businesses to ensure all earned revenue is secured.

Turn Denials Into Actionable Insight

DenialTracker is an easy-to-use, automated system that integrates to your Google account to provide the tracking services you need to stay on top of all revenue leaks from insurance denials.

Get insight into what patients, insurance agencies, and billed procedure codes cause the most denials to better improve your billing practices and strengthen your cashflow.

Keep Every Claim Moving Forward

Denials are automatically organized in Google Sheets with the claim information your team needs to review and follow up efficiently. Resubmissions and appeals can be tracked through color-coded statuses as claims move toward resolution.

Configurable email summaries keep the right people informed about new denials, pending follow-ups, and claim outcomes - delivered to your chosen recipients on the schedule that works for your practice.

No New Platform. No New Learning Curve.

DenialTracker works directly within Google Drive, Sheets, and Gmail, so there’s no separate system to learn, no additional database to maintain, and no new software to manage. Install the add-on, configure your settings in minutes, and keep working in the familiar Google environment your team already knows.

FAQ

How does it work?

DenialTracker reads standard 835 files dropped into a Google Drive folder for all insurance denials and non-payments. These files can usually be downloaded from your clearinghouse or EHR.

What if I outsource my billing?

DenialTracker is still useful, even if you outsource your billing, by giving you a direct window into which revenue losses have been successfully resecured, or denied again, as well as which insurance agencies, patients, and billing practices have contributed most to your denials.

Is DenialTracker HIPAA-compliant?

DenialTracker is designed for HIPAA-regulated healthcare workflows. Patient and claim data stays strictly within your own Google environment. Practices handling protected health information should use an appropriately configured Google account with a signed BAA with Google.

About

I've worked as a medical biller for 4 years at SNH Speech Therapy and Learning Center, a pediatric speech, occupational, and mental health therapy center located in Nashua, New Hampshire. Like many other small practices providing medical services, insurance denials are our most significant source of revenue loss. The process of overcoming them is unconsolidated, convoluted, and time-consuming. Between conducting account research, coordinating with insurance representatives, and deciding the best course of action to circumvent the denial, and hopefully secure revenue, we wanted a solution.

That's why I created DenialTracker, so other practices and billers can easily receive more automation in their workflow by offering a consolidated list and scheduled alerts on your insurance denials, all within a system you likely already use! Every function this system offers was purposefully designed for other healthcare providers and billers based on what our practice wanted:

Organized Google Sheets provide a clear archived history of insurance denials.

Each denial entry in Sheets includes all the necessary information to determine why the claim was denied and what the most appropriate next step is.

Sorting functions and analytics pinpoint which billed codes or insurance agencies have most frequently produced denials.

Scheduled alerts that fit your cadence will ensure all recipients stay up to date on what needs the most attention.

Finally, claim resubmission and appeal status tracking represent where each denial stands with securing your revenue.

I wholeheartedly hope this system will help healthcare providers continue to offer their essential services without the possibility of lost revenue lingering.
